オバマ大統領が誕生しました！
オバマ大統領就任演説の印象に残ったところ
現実に起きている経済危機、紛争、そういった一連の危機的状況を受け止めたあと、そのような目に見えるデータや指標とは違い、数値で測ることができないが、同じくらい深刻な問題がある、と述べるくだり。
Less measurable, but no less profound, is a sapping of confidence across our land; a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, that the next generation must lower its sights.
「もうアメリカの没落は避けられないのではないか、という恐怖」だとオバマは言っています。
しかし、今日ここに、恐怖を捨て、希望を選んだから人々はここに集まったのだと。
On this day, we gather because we have chosen hop over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
対立や軋轢ではなく、調和（団結）を選んだのだと。
That time has come to reaffirm.... to carry forward ... that noble idea... the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
神からの贈り物・・・「人はみな平等で、人はみな自由で、人はみな、限りなく幸せを追い求めるチャンスを与えられるものだ」という崇高な理念を、世代から世代へと引き継ぐ時が来たのだ。
